SERVICE OVERVIEW

If your vehicle cranks slowly, clicks when you turn the key, or shows a battery warning light while driving, the starting and charging system may be failing. The battery, alternator, and starter all work together — when one weakens, the others are pushed harder until the car won’t start at all. At LugsNPlugs Automotive in Colorado Springs, we perform accurate system testing to confirm whether you simply need a new battery or if there’s a deeper issue draining power. We’ll restore strong, reliable starting performance so you can depend on your vehicle every time you turn the key.

At LugsNPlugs Automotive, you’re more than a repair order—you’re family. Our skilled technicians are committed to honest, reliable repairs that keep you safe on the road, backed by our 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty. We love this community, and we’re proud to serve Colorado Springs with heart.

POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • How do I know if the problem is the battery or the alternator?

If it starts once jump-started but then dies while driving, the alternator is likely bad. If it won’t crank at all without a jump, the battery or starter may be to blame. We test all three systems.

  • What causes clicking when I turn the key?

Low voltage or a failing starter solenoid. It’s an early warning sign — catching it now prevents a no-start situation.

  • Why does my battery light come on while driving?

That means the alternator isn’t charging properly. The vehicle will eventually stall if power output doesn’t recover.
